John Lucci is a Managing Partner and the President of FTE’s Global Consulting Practice. He is a co-founder of FTE and is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s P&L, business development, and operational strategy across FTE’s Global network. John co-leads the firm in its mission to deliver exceptional project results and exceed client expectations. In this role, he provides subject matter expertise, technical guidance and executive support to FTE’s project leaders and consulting teams across multiple engagements.

Since transitioning from industry to consulting in 2006, John has advised clients in the manufacturing and transportation sector specializing in general management challenges, strategic planning, due diligence, process redesign, lean manufacturing strategy and organizational design.

Prior to founding FTE Performance Consulting John spent 6 years as a partner at Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm; 5 years as the Director of launch management and process engineering for a growing automotive supplier and 15 years with a leading automotive OEM in various engineering, operations and lean manufacturing leadership roles. He has led the start-up of multiple JIT assembly and material sequencing facilities supporting Daimler Chrysler, General Motors, Ford Motor Company and New United Motors Manufacturing Inc. He has led numerous corporate-wide lean transformation programs; spearheaded a multi-facility MIS infrastructure project; developed and implemented flexible assembly strategies which reduced lead time, improved responsiveness to model mix fluctuations and improved overall throughput capacity. His scope of responsibility has included P&L, strategic planning, program management and the execution of capital and start-up budgets.

John holds a Masters of Science in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University, Bachelors of Science in Robotics Systems Engineering from Lake Superior State University, and certification in lean manufacturing from the University of Michigan. He also holds three US Patents.
