FTE Performance Consulting is an operations management consulting firm that helps industrial clients solve complex cost, quality, delivery, throughput, and people problems in factory environments.
Our team members work on-site with our clients, and unlike big box firms that like to coach from the sidelines, we “get on the field” with our clients to help them increase their competitive edge.
We seek like-minded individuals to work with our clients across North America. We are committed to diversity and inclusion and offer a competitive wage and benefits package. Base salary ranges from $80,000 USD to $125,000 USD with bonus potential up to 25% of base salary. The base salary will be commensurate with relevant experience and expertise.
Experience
Case Delivery
- Analyze, design, and implement operations performance improvements related to cost, quality, delivery, and people
- Gather and analyze data; formulate and test hypotheses; design, recommend, and implement solutions
- Drive process improvements from the shop floor to the front office
- Actively engage in problem-solving to identify root causes and close procedural gaps
- Identify operational performance metrics to objectively measure improvements through cost-benefit analysis and formulate clear ROIs
- Compile and deliver board-ready reports using standard Microsoft Office tools
- Manage project performance, identified risks, and recommended countermeasures as necessary to exceed client expectations
- Flex between individual contributors to case leadership roles as project size, scope, or staffing dictates
Business Development Support
- Positively promote FTE’s value proposition and services
- Actively identify opportunities for new or expansion of existing business
- Support teammates in designing project approaches, staffing, and translating customer pain points into new business opportunities
Internal Firm Building
- Develop, document, and improve FTE internal business processes as well as our approach and standard outputs for client casework
- Participate in annual business planning and execution of internal improvement projects
- Participate in vetting of candidates seeking to join FTE’s Core Team or Advisory Network
Essential Job Responsibilities
Case Delivery
- Analyze, design, and implement business performance improvements.
- Gather and analyze data, formulate and test hypotheses, and implement solutions
- Determine appropriate KPIs to measure improvement activity
- Drive improvements at the shop floor and back-office transactional processes
- Actively engage in problem-solving to identify root causes and close gaps
- Identify financial performance metrics to objectively measure improvements through Cost Benefit Analysis and the formulation of clear ROIs
- Compile and deliver clean, concise reports using standard Microsoft office tools
- Evaluate project performance, identify risks, and recommend countermeasures as necessary to exceed client expectations
- Flex into a Case Manager role as project size, scope, or staffing dictates
Business Development Support
- Positively promote FTE’s value proposition and services

- Support FTE Case Managers and Principals in building out project approach, staffing, and translating customer pain points into new business opportunities
Internal Firm Building

Education
- Bachelor’s degree is desired, or equivalent years of work experience
Employment Type

- Salary + Bonus (based on a pay-for-performance structure)
- Position requires 90% travel: 4 – 5 days per week
- Physical demands require computer work, standing, sitting in an office, and manufacturing plant environment, walking the manufacturing plant floor multiple times daily is required
